Election is a system to elect an eligible person for a post, it is supposed to be taken serious with integrity. However, in the process of election, the nominees, like a gossipmonger, will slander and defame on others in order to gain more supporters. In this condition, the ideology of an election has been changed. In my opinion, election is about gossip, and gossip is used as a weapon to make the election into a farce. A fictitious election is to let audiences aware that elections are full of gossips; the value and purpose of an election have become contorted.
This Campaign will focus on the elections in America, which are more familiar to audiences. Five icon as nominees will be symbolized by five different weapons, that fill with real examples of statements about gossip. These icons represent typical gossip in an election. Such as gossip that unveil by media, supporters attacking opponent nominees and nominees who accuse each other. By using these icons, their “achievements” in different fields will be illustrated. The aim of this campaign is to stimulate audiences’ mind ‘Do we vote for the gossip or the ability of the nominees?’ In additional, ‘Do we really need gossips in elections?’
選舉制度是要選出一位賢能的人作合適職位。一般而言，大家都會假設認為選舉是廉正和認真的。但在選舉中，就如流言蜚語一樣，參選人會誹謗對手以得到更多支持者，因而令到選舉的本義改變。我認為選舉有如流言蜚語，利用流言這種武器使選舉變成鬧劇。這個作品中的虛構選舉——就是讓觀眾知道選舉中是充滿流言，並且選舉的價值和目的都已被扭曲了！
本作品主要是針對大家熟悉的美國大選。五個流言蜚語字句所組成的武器，代表不同形態的參選人。這些參選人象徵在選舉中經常出現的流言蜚語。如傳媒揭發的流言，支持者對其他參選人的攻擊及參選人之間的互相指控等。這個作品的目的底是因為候選人的實際能力投票，還是受選舉中的各種流言影響投票？在選舉中，我們是否真的需要這些流言蜚語呢？
