In recent years, a new category of drugs have appeared in the market. These drugs claim that they are designed for our body health, and are named “recreational drugs”. Recreational drugs are drugs that “re-supply” sustenance to our body or improve the physiological function of our body. A newspaper clipping from “Mingpao Daily” reported that there are 1.29 millions of people in Hong Kong who have been taking recreational drugs. That means there is 1 out of 6 people who has taken those drugs. Hong Kong is a very crowded and busy city, people even do not have time to keep a normal diet. And thus, many people think that by taking recreational drugs, they can maintain a healthy life. Taking “medicine” has become more prioritize rather than normal diet.
The aim of this project “Happy Meal” is to question about people’s behavior on recreational drugs. The project is called “Happy Meal” because when people take those drugs, they believe those drugs will make them healthier. After taking those drugs, they seem to become healthier, and this satisfaction makes them “happy”. So they feel that there is no need to have normal diet.
